The PowerBar V3 850 nm infrared module is a compact high-power IR light engine using 12 Osram Oslon Black LEDs on a 286 mm aluminium PCB. It is intended for professional systems that require controlled near-infrared radiation rather than visible illumination.
The PowerBar platform allows the IR board to be integrated with a matching heat-sink / housing, optics and constant-current driver, creating a complete fixture for machine vision, sensing, night-vision, research and other specialized IR applications.

Build a complete PowerBar V3 infrared fixture
The PowerBar V3 infrared module can be installed on the compatible PowerBar V3 heat sink, with optional mounting clips and heat-conductive adhesive pad, to provide the mechanical support and thermal path required for continuous operation.
Electrical operation requires a suitable constant-current LED driver matched to the 850 nm module current and forward-voltage range. See our range of compatible Mean Well constant-current LED drivers.
Secondary optics and any protective cover for infrared use should be selected separately for their transmission and mechanical compatibility at 850 nm.
Infrared illumination for optical and sensing systems
The 850 nm spectrum is suitable for systems where near-infrared illumination is intentionally required, including camera illumination, machine vision, sensing, inspection and research. Secondary optics can be used to concentrate the IR beam or distribute it over a wider target area.
Constant-current driver integration
Use a regulated 700 mA constant-current driver with an output-voltage range that includes approximately 33.6 V per module. Thermal design is important because infrared output and lifetime depend on junction temperature and system cooling.
Designed and manufactured in Germany
We develop and manufacture professional LED modules in Germany, combining more than 20 years of LED application experience with controlled SMT production and application engineering. PowerBar V3 is designed as a high-power platform rather than a generic LED board: LED selection, aluminium PCB, thermal path, electrical connection and optics integration are developed as one system.
For OEM and project customers, we can also support LED selection, custom spectra, PCB adaptation, optics, thermal design, prototyping and series production. This allows the complete light engine to be matched to the fixture and application.
