Nichia 3-Channel LED Modules: Dynamic and Bright, High-Tech LED Lighting
Our range of 3-channel LED modules and strips is designed to meet the demands of various dynamic lighting applications, including RGB, Tunable White, Nichia Dynasolis, and Multi-Color solutions. These advanced LED modules utilize Nichia’s 757 LEDs or the innovative Direct Mountable Chip LEDs, both of which incorporate cutting-edge technologies like Nichia Optisolis, Vitasolis, and H6 (Highest Efficacy CRI90 LEDs).
Nichia 757 LEDs are the industry-leading 3030 mid-power LEDs, offering the highest luminous efficacy of up to 222 lm/w and unmatched reliability, with a lifespan of up to 100,000 hours (L70). Each LED consumes a typical 0.2W at 65mA, producing up to 45 lumens of luminous flux. Nichia’s Direct Mountable Chip technology, meanwhile, has revolutionized LED design by minimizing the package size to match the light-emitting surface size, resulting in one of the highest luminous flux densities available in compact lighting applications. This combination of advanced technology and high efficiency makes our 3-channel LED modules the ideal solution for dynamic and customizable lighting applications.
RGB lighting
RGB lighting is created by combining three colors—Red, Green, and Blue—to produce a full spectrum of colors, including white. RGB LED strips or modules can either use individual Red, Green, and Blue LEDs placed closely together or a 3-in-1 LED that incorporates Red, Green, and Blue chips into a single diode.
Individual color LEDs offer a higher luminous flux, making them ideal for brighter applications, but they may struggle to deliver pure combined colors in narrow light fixtures, such as linear lights or slim LED panels. On the other hand, 3-in-1 RGB LEDs provide more consistent combined colors but have a lower luminous flux, limiting their use to architectural or display lighting where precision in color output is more important than brightness. Both configurations require 3-channel LED modules or strips, and our customizable solutions allow you to select the system that best fits your RGB lighting needs, ensuring the perfect balance between brightness and color purity.
Tunable White lighting
Tunable White LED modules and strips offer the ability to precisely replicate the changing shades of natural sunlight by utilizing two types of white LEDs. The color temperature, measured in degrees Kelvin (K), shifts throughout the day—from warm white (2000-3500K) during sunrise and sunset to pure white (3500-4500K) in the morning, and cold white (5500-6500K) at noon.

Tunable White lighting is an essential feature of Human-Centric Lighting (HCL), which aims to harmonize artificial lighting with the human body’s natural circadian rhythms. By mimicking the color temperature shifts of natural light, HCL systems can improve concentration, productivity, mood, and regulate sleep-wake cycles. For instance, warm white light can evoke feelings of relaxation, similar to a sunset, while pure white light can energize, mimicking midday sunlight. To fully support the effects of HCL, a lighting system must provide a high-quality spectrum, easy adjustments to color temperature and brightness, and high energy efficiency. With our Tunable White LED strips or modules combined with the Powercontroller light control system, we offer a complete HCL solution that delivers superior light quality, maximum energy efficiency, and an extended lifespan of up to 100,000 hours.
Nichia Dynasolis
Nichia's Dynasolis™ is a revolutionary LED tuning solution specifically designed to regulate circadian rhythms by simultaneously adjusting melanopic illuminance and color temperature while maintaining a high CRI and efficiency. Unlike conventional HCL systems, which only adjust the correlated color temperature (CCT), Dynasolis™ focuses on the non-visual effects of lighting, such as its impact on circadian rhythms. This system uses Azure LEDs that emit 480nm light, a wavelength found in morning sunlight, which stimulates serotonin production to enhance alertness and mental well-being. By optimizing this exposure, Dynasolis™ also promotes melatonin secretion in the evening, helping regulate sleep patterns and overall circadian health.
The 480nm light emitted by the Azure LEDs is crucial for activating the body and mind in the morning and preparing the body for rest later in the day. Dynasolis™ improves upon traditional indoor lighting by focusing on this wavelength to maximize melanopic illuminance, replacing standard high-CCT LEDs with Azure LEDs to ensure the right balance of energizing and calming light throughout the day. This system allows for flexible color and spectrum tuning, making it ideal for human-centric lighting applications in spaces that require a focus on well-being and productivity.
Customizable 3-channel LED modules can be used to build improved Dynasolis lighting systems, with Channel 1 featuring Azure LEDs, Channel 2 using warm white LEDs, and Channel 3 with pure or cold white LEDs.
Multi-Color Lighting
Special multi-color LED modules can also be configured using our customizable solutions. For example, a module can include warm white LEDs for morning light, pure white LEDs for daylight lighting, and red LEDs for night lighting or emergency scenarios. This multi-color configuration offers versatile lighting solutions for a variety of environments and use cases.
In horticulture applications, enhanced LED modules can combine Nichia’s Hortisolis LEDs with blue and red LEDs. This specific combination promotes optimal plant growth by offering a balanced light spectrum that supports photosynthesis and other critical growth processes in controlled indoor environments. These customized lighting solutions allow for precise control over the lighting spectrum, ensuring the best possible results for each application.

The Nichia LED quality
The Japanese company Nichia, our recommended choice for the LEDs used on LED strips or modules, is the world leader in the LED market, with a market share of over 25% and the longest experience in the field. Nichia is the inventor of the white LED production technology, receiving the Nobel Prize for this invention.
The very long life of Nichia 757 LEDs (minimum 100,000 hours), exceptional luminous efficacy, superior light output and spectrum qualify our LED strips for long-term use even for the most demanding applications.
The difference between the quality and performance of the strip with Nichia LEDs and a low-cost LED strip, is evident from the first light, and in time the gap increases even more.
1. Longest-lasting light: Nichia LEDs last 90% longer

After 10,000 hours of operation, a Nichia 757 LED keeps 97% of the initial luminous flux, under high operating conditions, shining like in the beginning, while 90% is maintained even after 60.000 hours.
In most applications, this translates into an effective 100,000 hours lifetime or 10 years of continuous operation in a shopping center, decades of operation in a home.
In contrast, a low-cost LED loses up to 60% of the initial value in less than 10,000 hours, approximately one year of operation. It becomes too weak for the initial purpose in just 1,000-3,000 hours.
The evolution of light output for the Nichia 757 LEDs is demonstrated by 10,000 hours of testing, according to the LM-80 standard. Lifetime (light at 70%, 80% and 90%) is calculated using TM-21, both internationally recognized standards and used by all major manufacturers.

2. More light for less power: Nichia LEDs are 65% more energy efficient

The design and material quality influence the luminous efficacy and the LED light output. Nichia 757 LEDs have the highest luminous efficacy on the market, more than 230 lumens per watt, compared to a low-cost LED that has less than 80 lumens per watt.
The difference of more than 65% in luminous efficacy is outstanding when seen in practice. After a cove light retrofit from low-cost LED strips to Nichia LED strips, the illumination increased by three to five times for the same power consumption:

3. Uniform white light: Nichia 757 LEDs are color temperature sorted
By implementing the 3 Macadam Elipse sorting standard in our manufacturing, ensures that Nichia LED strips for a project will have the same white color temperature. Uniformity is also be maintained for future projects.
In contrast, low-cost LED strips are not manufactured with the Macadam Elipse sorting standard, being delivered with many different color temperatures of white. Often, differences are even on the same reel. Moreover, after just a few thousand hours, the low-cost LEDs change their color temperature, resulting in a rainbow effect with yellow and blue hues.
After a cove-light retrofit from low-cost LED strips to Nichia LED strips, the importance of the 3 Macadam Elipse sorting standard is clear.

4. Natural light spectrum: Nichia 757 LEDs have CRI up to 99
Nichia LEDs, with CRI up to 99, reproduce colors as naturally as possible, closely matching the spectrum of sunlight. This capability ensures that colors are rendered accurately and vividly, enhancing the visual experience in any application
Low-cost LEDs only have a maximum CRI of 80, their light distorting color shades, especially warm colors, such as red, orange or brown.
