The Violet600 UVC LED Light is a complete, ready-to-connect professional UV irradiation fixture built from two coordinated Violet light-engine sections. This 59.3 cm version uses 24 UV LEDs at 280 nm and delivers approximately 2050 mW radiant power through a 61° optical distribution.
Violet600 doubles the active optical length of Violet300 while preserving the same platform concept: UV LED source, LEDiL optics, thermal housing, integrated driver/control electronics, adjustable mounting and 3 m connection cable are engineered as one fixture. It is therefore suited to applications that need a wider irradiation field or higher total radiant power from one linear source.

Built around LEDiL VIOLET-12X1 optics
The internal Violet LED boards use the same fixed 12-LED pitch matched to the LEDiL VIOLET-12X1 optics family. In Violet600, two optical sections are arranged along the 593 mm light body to create a longer controlled irradiation field while retaining the defined LED-to-optic geometry of the modular Violet platform.
The wide beam covers a larger target area and supports more uniform irradiation at shorter working distances, with correspondingly lower peak irradiance than a narrow optic.
Optical output, beam angle and irradiance simulations are subject to the tolerances specified for the Violet family; simulation-derived values are typically specified with ±20% tolerance where applicable.
Higher total radiant power over a longer irradiation field
Compared with Violet300, Violet600 uses twice the number of LEDs and approximately twice the electrical power. This makes it useful when the process area is longer, when more total radiant power is required, or when fewer fixtures are preferred along a conveyor, chamber or treatment zone.
The longer fixture does not remove the need to engineer working distance and optical overlap. For uniform irradiation, the complete field should be checked at the actual mounting distance and, where several Violet600 units are installed, the overlap between adjacent fixtures should be considered.
Design from irradiance and dose
Radiant power describes the total UV output of the fixture, but the target receives irradiance in W/m² or mW/cm². The resulting irradiance depends on radiant power, optic, working distance, alignment and illuminated area. For dose-controlled processes, exposure time must also be included.
The defined Violet geometry makes it possible to combine the known source output and selected optic with the installation distance when estimating the irradiation pattern before final measurement and validation in the machine.
Germicidal irradiation and disinfection systems
The 280 nm UVC wavelength is intended for professional air, surface and water irradiation systems, laboratory equipment and industrial process equipment where germicidal UV is part of a validated treatment method. See our overview of UV disinfection technology.
Required dose depends on organism, irradiance at the target, exposure time, shadowing and process geometry. Violet600 provides the optical and control platform for engineering the dose, but the finished application must be validated for its intended biological reduction target.
48 V power, dimming and process control
The integrated electronics accept an electronically regulated DC supply in the 30–50 V range, with 48 V as the nominal reference. At 48 V, input current is below approximately 1.2 A and total input power is below 58 W.
The 3-core cable provides +Vin, GND and DIM. The DIM input supports PWM control and remote on/off, allowing the UV source to be synchronized with conveyors, process cycles, shutters or safety logic. If the dimming conductor is not used it should be isolated and left unconnected.
The external DC supply should provide appropriate short-circuit, overload and overtemperature protection for the complete installation.
Mechanical integration and thermal management
The hard-anodised aluminium housing provides the thermal path for the two internal Violet light-engine sections. Adjustable stainless-steel brackets allow the fixture to be aimed without redesigning the host machine, while the sealed optical frame protects the LED/optic assembly.
Maintain free convection around the housing and do not obstruct the optical window or the Tc measurement area. UV radiant output and lifetime are temperature-dependent, so the final installation should be validated at the intended ambient temperature and duty cycle.
Professional UV safety
Violet600 is a Risk Group 3 UV source intended for professional integration. Direct or reflected radiation can injure eyes and skin. The completed machine or luminaire must provide appropriate shielding, interlocks, access control, warning labels and operating procedures for the wavelength and irradiance used.
Installation and wiring should be carried out by qualified personnel. Before operation, verify polarity, DIM wiring, mounting, aiming, shielding and all safety interlocks.
Developed and manufactured in Germany
We develop and manufacture Violet UV modules and integrated irradiation fixtures in Germany. Our capabilities cover UV LED selection, optics, PCB design, thermal engineering, control electronics, mechanical integration, prototyping and series production.
For OEM projects, Violet600 can serve as a starting platform for custom wavelength, optical distribution, control interface and mechanical-integration requirements, subject to technical feasibility.
