The Violet900 UVC LED Light is a complete, ready-to-connect professional UV irradiation fixture for longer industrial treatment zones. This approximately 89 cm version uses 36 UV LEDs at 265 nm and delivers approximately 2041 mW radiant power through a 56° × 23° optical distribution.
Violet900 extends the modular Violet concept to a longer linear source: the 36 LEDs are arranged in three coordinated 12-LED optical sections using the same LED-to-optic geometry as the smaller Violet fixtures. The UV source, LEDiL optics, hard-anodised aluminium thermal housing, integrated control electronics, adjustable mounting and 3 m connection cable are supplied as one fixture.

Built around LEDiL VIOLET-12X1 optics
The internal Violet LED engines use a fixed 12-LED pitch matched to the LEDiL VIOLET-12X1 optics family. Three optical sections are arranged along the approximately 890 mm light body, allowing Violet900 to create a longer controlled irradiation field while preserving the same defined LED-to-optic relationship across the complete fixture.
The asymmetric beam spreads radiation much farther in one axis than the other. This is useful for elongated treatment zones, conveyor paths, narrow process areas or rectangular targets where a circular field would waste radiant power.
Optical output, beam angle and irradiance simulations are subject to the tolerances specified for the Violet family; simulation-derived values are typically specified with ±20% tolerance where applicable.
Longer irradiation zones with fewer fixtures
Violet900 is useful when an installation requires a continuous UV source across a longer conveyor width, treatment chamber, process line or illuminated target. With 36 LEDs and up to approximately 86 W input power, one fixture provides roughly three times the active LED count of Violet300 while retaining a single power and control connection.
The longer source does not eliminate the need to engineer optical overlap and mounting distance. For uniform treatment, irradiance should be verified across the complete working area and, where several Violet900 fixtures are installed, the overlap between adjacent fields should be included in the system design.
Design from irradiance and dose
Radiant power describes the total UV output of the fixture, but the target receives irradiance in W/m² or mW/cm². The resulting irradiance depends on radiant power, optic, working distance, alignment and illuminated area. For dose-controlled processes, exposure time must also be included.
The defined Violet geometry makes it possible to combine the known source output and selected optic with the installation distance when estimating the irradiation pattern before final measurement and validation in the machine.
Germicidal irradiation and disinfection systems
The 265 nm UVC wavelength is intended for professional air, surface and water irradiation systems, laboratory equipment and industrial process equipment where germicidal UV is part of a validated treatment method. See our overview of UV disinfection technology.
Required dose depends on organism, irradiance at the target, exposure time, shadowing and process geometry. Violet900 provides the optical and control platform for engineering the dose, but the finished application must be validated for its intended biological reduction target.
48 V power, dimming and process control
The integrated electronics accept an electronically regulated DC supply in the 30–50 V range, with 48 V as the nominal reference. At 48 V, input current is below approximately 1.8 A and total input power is below 86 W.
The 3-core cable provides +Vin, GND and DIM. The DIM input supports PWM control and remote on/off, allowing the UV source to be synchronized with conveyors, process cycles, shutters or safety logic. If the dimming conductor is not used it should be isolated and left unconnected.
The external DC supply should provide suitable short-circuit, overload and overtemperature protection for the complete installation.
Mechanical integration and thermal management
The hard-anodised aluminium housing provides the thermal path for the three internal Violet optical sections. Adjustable stainless-steel brackets allow the fixture to be aimed without redesigning the host machine, while the sealed optical frame protects the LED/optic assembly.
Maintain free convection around the housing and do not obstruct the optical window or the Tc measurement area. UV radiant output and lifetime are temperature-dependent, so the final installation should be validated at the intended ambient temperature and duty cycle.
Professional UV safety
Violet900 is a Risk Group 3 UV source intended for professional integration. Direct or reflected radiation can injure eyes and skin. The completed machine or luminaire must provide appropriate shielding, interlocks, access control, warning labels and operating procedures for the wavelength and irradiance used.
Installation and wiring should be carried out by qualified personnel. Before operation, verify polarity, DIM wiring, mounting, aiming, shielding and all safety interlocks.
Developed and manufactured in Germany
We develop and manufacture Violet UV modules and integrated irradiation fixtures in Germany. Our capabilities cover UV LED selection, optics, PCB design, thermal engineering, control electronics, mechanical integration, prototyping and series production.
For OEM projects, Violet900 can serve as a starting platform for custom wavelength, optical distribution, control interface and mechanical-integration requirements, subject to technical feasibility.
