This product amplifies the control signal of an LED installation so that long runs and large loads can be driven without loss of brightness or colour accuracy.

Every dimmer and controller has a maximum output current. Beyond it the voltage sags, which shows up as a visible drop in brightness towards the end of a long strip run and, on colour installations, as a colour shift. A repeater takes the low-power control signal and reproduces it with its own power stage fed directly from the supply, so any number of additional segments can be driven in perfect synchronisation with the first.

Why this component matters

A repeater is a system component rather than a light source. Its value is electrical: it reproduces the controller signal with a fresh power stage so additional RGB or RGBW loads can follow the original channel levels without overloading the controller. In larger installations this helps keep brightness and colour behaviour consistent across distributed strip runs.
