- Professional flexible LED strip manufactured in Germany for reliable linear lighting
- 3650 lm per 5 m reel / 730 lm per metre
- 140 LEDs per metre
- 24 V DC operation
- Side-emitting flexible LED strip
- Made in Germany with a 5-year commercial warranty
The SideFlex 700 is a specialist flexible LED strip designed for applications where the light must leave the PCB sideways rather than upwards. This geometry makes it particularly useful for narrow architectural details, curved outlines, edge lighting and indirect lighting situations where there is little horizontal installation space but sufficient height.
This 4000 K version provides 3650 lm from the 5 m reel, equivalent to 730 lm/m, with 140 LEDs per metre and a power density of 9.6 W/m. The 7.14 mm LED pitch helps create a visually homogeneous line of neutral white light while retaining the flexibility needed for curved and unusual luminaire geometries.

Side-emitting light for difficult architectural details
Unlike a conventional LED strip, SideFlex directs the light laterally from the edge of the flexible PCB. This can solve installation problems in coves, furniture details, recesses and custom luminaires where a standard upward-facing strip would point in the wrong direction or require more horizontal space.
The flexible PCB also allows the strip to follow curves and contours, making it useful for highlighted edges, curved shelves, display furniture and custom profile systems where the illuminated line needs to follow the shape of the architecture.
Designed for cove and indirect lighting
This product is particularly well suited to cove and indirect lighting, where the LED strip is hidden from direct view and the illuminated wall or ceiling becomes part of the optical system. The side-emitting geometry is especially useful when the strip must be concealed in a vertical slot or along the edge of a cove rather than laid flat.
For the most uniform result, the strip should be positioned so the individual LEDs are not directly visible from normal viewing angles. Mounting distance, profile depth, diffuser transmission and the reflectance of the illuminated surface all influence the final appearance.
Neutral white light for commercial and functional spaces
The 4000 K colour temperature produces a clean neutral white appearance suited to offices, kitchens, studies, retail displays, classrooms and other functional interiors. At 730 lm/m, the SideFlex 700 is best used for accent, indirect and supplementary lighting rather than as a substitute for a high-output task-lighting system.
For additional guidance on choosing white-light tone, see our colour temperature guide.
Installation guidance
The strip should be installed so the side-emitting LEDs face the intended illuminated surface. The self-adhesive backing supports positioning, but the mounting geometry should avoid sharp bends, mechanical stress on the LED packages and repeated flexing after installation.
Use a regulated 24 V DC constant-voltage power supply sized for the connected length and provide additional feed points where necessary to control voltage drop in longer installations.
Our manufacturing and quality promise
We develop and manufacture professional LED strips and modules in Germany, combining more than 20 years of LED application experience with automated production and application engineering. Our focus is on repeatable performance, carefully selected components and products that can be integrated reliably into professional lighting systems.
For project customers, we can also support custom development, PCB adaptation, LED selection, thermal design, prototyping and series production. This allows the light engine to be matched to the luminaire or architectural application instead of forcing the project around a generic LED tape.
