The SideFlex1080 is a specialist side-emitting LED strip for architectural details where the available mounting space or required light direction makes a conventional upward-facing strip impractical. Instead of emitting perpendicular to the PCB, the LEDs direct the light sideways, allowing the strip to illuminate along the edge of a recess, profile or curved surface.
This 2700 K version delivers 3400 lm from the 5 m reel, equivalent to 680 lm/m, with 140 LEDs per metre and approximately 9.6 W/m. The dense 7.14 mm LED pitch helps produce a smooth line of warm white light for accent, cove and indirect lighting.

Side-emitting light for difficult architectural details
The SideFlex1080 is useful when there is little horizontal space but enough vertical space for the LED strip. This makes it suitable for narrow shadow gaps, edge lighting, curved furniture details, custom luminaires and architectural recesses where a standard strip would point in the wrong direction.
Its flexible PCB can follow curves and contours, allowing the light line to become part of the shape of the furniture, display or architectural element.
Warm cove and indirect lighting
The product is particularly well suited to cove and indirect lighting. The side-emitting geometry allows the strip to be installed vertically along the edge of a recess while still directing the light toward the wall or ceiling.
The 2700 K colour temperature creates a warm, intimate atmosphere suited to living rooms, bedrooms, restaurants, hotels and other hospitality spaces. At 680 lm/m, the strip is best used for accent, decorative and supplementary illumination rather than as the primary source for high task illuminance.
Choosing warm white for residential and hospitality spaces

Installation guidance
Install the strip so the side-emitting LEDs face the intended illuminated surface. Avoid sharp creases, twisting and repeated mechanical flexing after installation, and do not apply pressure directly to the LED packages.
Use a regulated 24 V DC constant-voltage power supply sized for the connected strip length. For longer runs, conductor size and feed-point spacing should be selected to minimise voltage drop and maintain consistent brightness along the installation.
