The new LumiFlex1080 LED Strip has been manufactured using reel-to-reel technology in our state-of-the-art flex production line in Germany. Over a length of 5 meters, the strip contains a total of 700 high-quality LEDs from Seoul Semiconductor, one of the market leaders in the LED segment. The Seoul LEDs have a long life and high efficiency.

With a luminous flux up to 1000 lm per meter, the LumiFlex1080 is recommended for ambient lighting via coves, shelf lights or linear lighting fixtures in the home, hotel, office or trade fair.

The high LED count per meter and moderate brightness makes the LumiFlex1080 our recommended product for decorative wall/ceiling recessed lines of light, as shown in the article from our blog: Linear light fixture with LED strips lighting guide.   For the most uniform light choose the Aluminum profile Aluflex deep (also in black) with the Frosted cover.

The strip can be easily cut off every 50 mm with scissors, thus increasing flexibility in terms of application. It consists of a single, 5 meters, high-quality printed circuit board and offers higher mechanical and electrical reliability compared to less expensive LED strips consisting of soldered sections.

The LumiFlex1080 LED strip is particularly convenient and easy to install thanks to the excellent adhesion of the double-sided adhesive tape on the back, which makes additional cooling unnecessary. 

Advantages of the reel-to-reel process over conventional production processes

On the state-of-the-art flex production line, which is equipped with the most innovative reel-to-reel machines on the market, flexible base materials can be fitted with electronic components in one piece. In contrast to the conventional production of flexible LED strips, the base material is not soldered together every 50 cm. These solder joints are both mechanical and electrical weak points that are avoided in the first place by roll-to-roll processing.
