This ConextPlay male module is a 25 × 25 mm illuminated building block for the patented Conext puzzle-lighting system. It operates from 5 V DC and contains one green LED, producing approximately 9 lm from only about 0.1 W.
The male geometry has two projecting connection noses and two recesses, making it useful as the directional building piece that continues or turns a ConextPlay pattern.

Patented puzzle-like Conext connection system
ConextPlay uses the patented Conext connection principle: adjacent modules plug directly into each other like puzzle pieces. Protruding connection noses and matching recesses carry the electrical contacts as well as locating the modules mechanically, so no separate connector is required between neighbouring boards.
This makes the system self-explanatory and very flat. Modules can be assembled into custom shapes without soldering or loose inter-module cables, while still remaining easy to rearrange or extend. The complete system operates from 5 V DC; power enters through the dedicated supply module for the relevant Conext family.
ConextPlay system architecture
ConextPlay is the smallest and most playful Conext format. The 25 × 25 mm modules operate from 5 V DC and can be mixed within the same installation. Male modules use two connection noses and two recesses, while female modules use four recesses so male pieces can approach from several directions.
The dedicated supply module adds USB-C power input and a pushbutton for simple on/off, dimming and fade functions. One supply module can operate up to 150 ConextPlay modules, allowing small decorative objects to scale into substantially larger illuminated patterns.
Signage, displays and custom illuminated shapes
The modular geometry is particularly useful for signage and illuminated displays, where the light source often needs to follow letters, symbols, contours or irregular product shapes rather than one conventional straight line.
Different colours and connection geometries can be combined to build luminous lettering, icons, decorative panels, interactive displays and one-off design objects. The 25 mm grid makes it easy to sketch a pattern and then reproduce it physically with the modules.
5 V USB-powered integration
Use the dedicated ConextPlay supply module to feed the connected pattern from a suitable 5 V USB power source. Total module count and power should remain within the supply-module limit, especially when several colours are mixed in one installation.

The Conext platform is unusual because the mechanical connection, electrical contact and lighting function are integrated into the module geometry itself.
For OEM and project customers, we can also support custom module layouts, LED selection, control concepts, mechanical integration, prototyping and series production. This makes Conext particularly useful when the illuminated shape is part of the product design rather than just a straight LED strip hidden inside a profile.
