This product is a high-quality SMD LED delivering 1183 lm at 2700K with CRI 80, 8.33 W of power consumption and an efficacy of 142 lm/W.

The LED is supplied ready-mounted on a star-shaped metal-core board. This saves the reflow soldering step, which on a modern high-power package is not something that can reliably be done by hand, and the metal core conducts the heat straight into the heat sink. For prototyping, small series and repairs, the pre-mounted version is by far the fastest route from component to working light source.

The LED is operated with constant current and must be mounted on an adequate heat sink. Junction temperature is the single most important factor for both light output and lifetime: run within specification, a brand LED of this class holds its luminous flux and its colour point for tens of thousands of hours.
