The PowerBar V3 deep red module is a high-power spectral light engine built around 12 Osram Oslon SSL LEDs on a 286 mm aluminium PCB. Its approximately 730 nm output is intended for luminaires where a defined spectral band is more important than conventional white-light lumen output.
The PowerBar V3 platform allows this specialized spectrum to be combined with a matching housing / heat sink, optics and constant-current driver to create a complete professional fixture.

Build a complete PowerBar V3 light fixture
PowerBar V3 is designed as a modular luminaire platform rather than only as an LED board. The module can be installed on the compatible PowerBar V3 heat sink, with optional mounting clips and heat-conductive adhesive pad, to provide the mechanical support and thermal path required for a complete fixture.
The beam can then be shaped with compatible optics for white and colour PowerBar V3 LEDs. Different optical distributions allow the same LED engine to be configured for linear lighting, spotlights, floodlights, high-bay luminaires, horticulture fixtures or other directional lighting applications.
For enclosed white- or colour-light luminaires, the optional PowerBar V3 plastic cover can be combined with the heat-sink system where the mechanical design requires a protective or finished outer cover.
Electrical operation requires a suitable constant-current LED driver matched to the current and forward-voltage requirements of the selected module. See our range of compatible Mean Well constant-current LED drivers for PowerBar V3 fixture designs.
High-power linear, spot and area lighting
The rigid aluminium module can be used as the light engine in high-output linear luminaires, high-bay fixtures, spotlights, floodlights and area lights.
The secondary optic can be selected independently from the LED board, allowing the same module to be configured for narrow-beam task lighting, medium-beam architectural lighting or wider area illumination.
Horticulture and supplemental-lighting applications
This spectrum is also suitable for controlled-environment and supplemental-lighting systems where deep red 730 nm light is intentionally part of the crop-light recipe. PowerBar's high optical density, interchangeable optics and aluminium thermal platform make it useful for custom horticulture fixtures that require directional delivery rather than diffuse LED tape.
For crop lighting, the system should be designed from PPFD, spectral target, mounting distance and uniformity rather than visible lumen output alone. See our overview of supplemental horticulture lighting.
Optical control for a defined spectral band
For monochromatic or narrow-band applications, the secondary optic is especially important because useful performance depends on where the radiant output is delivered. Compatible rod lenses or individual optics can be selected to concentrate the light, widen the beam or shape it for the target surface.
Constant-current driver integration
Use a regulated 700 mA constant-current driver with an output-voltage range that includes approximately 24.6 V per module. Driver selection should also consider dimming method, thermal conditions and the number of modules in the final fixture.
Designed and manufactured in Germany
We develop and manufacture professional LED modules in Germany, combining more than 20 years of LED application experience with controlled SMT production and application engineering. PowerBar V3 is designed as a high-power platform rather than a generic LED board: LED selection, aluminium PCB, thermal path, electrical connection and optics integration are developed as one system.
For OEM and project customers, we can also support LED selection, custom spectra, PCB adaptation, optics, thermal design, prototyping and series production. This allows the complete light engine to be matched to the fixture and application.
