The SmartArray Q12 is the high-output square module in the classic SmartArray range. Twelve Nichia E17A LEDs are concentrated on a 19 × 19 mm PCB, producing up to 1580 lm at 4000 K from approximately 12 W.
This makes the Q12 suitable when a luminaire needs the compact optical footprint of a COB module but substantially more light than the smaller Q4 versions.

Compact light engine for bulbs, downlights, spotlights and floodlights
SmartArray modules are designed for compact luminaires where high output must come from a very small source area. They are particularly well suited to LED bulb manufacturing, downlights, spotlights and floodlights.
The compact PCB makes SmartArray a practical alternative to COB modules when the designer prefers discrete Nichia LEDs, a defined board geometry and more flexibility in the electrical architecture. The higher flux level makes Q12 particularly useful in downlights, spotlights and small floodlights that need a strong concentrated source.
1400 mA constant-current integration
The Q12 requires a regulated 1400 mA constant-current driver with an output-voltage range that accommodates approximately 8.6 V at the reference operating point. Thermal integration becomes especially important because the module concentrates around 12 W into a very small PCB.
White-light quality for the application
The neutral white tone is well suited to offices, shops, kitchens, classrooms and other functional interiors where a clean, balanced appearance is preferred. CRI 80+ provides a practical balance of efficiency and colour rendering for general professional lighting.

This allows the module to be matched to the fixture and optical system instead of forcing the luminaire around a generic COB or anonymous LED board.
