The LumiFlex3090 is a high-output flexible LED strip engineered for professional general and architectural lighting across a wide range of commercial and industrial applications. It is built around the Cree JB2835 — 350 LEDs per reel, 70 per metre — a mid-power package from the world's #2 LED manufacturer, selected for its proven performance in high-volume general lighting deployments.
This 6500K cold white variant targets applications where light quality is measured by its proximity to natural daylight: laboratory and cleanroom environments, professional photography and video studios, industrial inspection lines, and high-accent retail where product colours must read true under artificial light. At 1870 lm/m and 12.5 W/m, it delivers 162 lm/W at mains input. CRI >90 with 3-Step MacAdam binning is notable at this CCT — high-CRI cold white is less common than at warmer colour temperatures, making this strip a technically specific choice where both colour accuracy and a daylight-aligned spectrum are specified together.
The strip is manufactured in Germany on Lumistrips' Reel-to-Reel (R2R) Flex line — a fully automated, continuous-feed production process that eliminates manual handling between stages. This reduces interconnects, tightens placement tolerances, and produces consistent solder joint quality across every metre, reel after reel. For specifiers sourcing larger quantities, this translates directly to lower batch-to-batch variation and predictable field performance.
The LumiFlex3090 runs on a single unbroken 5-metre PCB — no soldered sections — and is cuttable every 100 mm at marked cut points. The reverse side carries a thermally conductive double-sided adhesive for direct surface or profile mounting. No additional heatsinking is required in typical architectural profile installations.

LED Quality:
The LumiFlex3090 uses Cree JB2835 LEDs exclusively — sourced through the Cree LED Branding Partner Programme, which means the components are traceable within Cree's authenticated supply chain. Cree publishes full component datasheets with tested and certified photometric data; the performance figures in our datasheet correspond to those certified values, measured at TJ = 65°C, not at cold-start conditions.
Low-cost strips frequently use LEDs of undisclosed origin, packaged without certified performance documentation. Bin-to-bin variation between batches is common and often undetectable until strips are installed side by side.
PCB Design and Materials Quality:
The LumiFlex3090 is built on a continuous flexible PCB — no soldered joints along the strip length. The integrated linear control circuit ensures stable current across the full 5m run, avoiding the brightness roll-off seen at the far end of under-engineered constant-voltage strips. Thermally conductive adhesive is included as standard.

Every LumiFlex3090 reel is produced on Lumistrips' automated R2R Flex line in Germany. Reel-to-Reel is a continuous production method — the flexible substrate moves through placement, reflow and inspection stages without interruption — which eliminates the handling errors and interconnect failures common in batch assembly. The result is uniform LED placement, consistent forward voltage across the reel, and a finished strip that performs to spec in the field as reliably as it does in the lab.
