PaperFlex is a wide flexible LED light engine built on a paper substrate rather than a conventional narrow flexible PCB. This SKU represents one 50 × 350 mm row containing seven Osram Duris LEDs, delivering approximately 55 lm at 2700 K from only 0.36 W.
The row is the basic repeating element of the PaperFlex system. When many rows are produced continuously, they form a 35 cm-wide luminous sheet that can extend up to many metres and cover surfaces far larger than a conventional LED strip.

Wallpaper lighting and very large luminous surfaces
PaperFlex is particularly well suited to applications where the LED source must cover a very large area while remaining extremely thin and lightweight. The 35 cm-wide sheet can be installed behind translucent wall coverings, stretched ceilings, exhibition surfaces, furniture and other elements where conventional narrow LED strips would require many separate parallel runs.
The paper substrate follows broad curves more easily than rigid lighting boards and allows continuous illuminated surfaces to be planned almost like a technical wallpaper. This makes it useful for custom interiors, stage and exhibition construction, decorative walls and large-area luminaire concepts.
Billboard, signage and backlighting applications
The wide continuous format is also well suited to billboard backlighting, signage and other large backlit surfaces. Instead of distributing many small LED boards across the rear of a display, PaperFlex can cover substantial areas with a regular LED grid on one continuous carrier.
Final distance to the diffuser should be selected according to the required uniformity, surface transmission and LED spacing. The regular row structure makes the optical layout predictable across long installations.
Warm white light for decorative surfaces
The 2700 K colour temperature creates a warm, comfortable visual atmosphere suited to hospitality, residential interiors, exhibitions, furniture and decorative wall or ceiling elements. CRI above 80 provides practical colour rendering for general architectural use.

Modular PaperFlex construction
This SKU is one complete 50 mm row and should be treated as the smallest standard PaperFlex unit. Larger PaperFlex products are manufactured as continuous sequences of these rows, so the system can be ordered in long lengths and divided at row boundaries to suit the project.
Developed and manufactured in Germany
We develop and manufacture professional LED strips and modules in Germany, combining more than 20 years of LED application experience with automated production and application engineering. Our capabilities include Reel-to-Reel manufacturing for flexible substrates as well as controlled SMT assembly for rigid and flexible LED modules.
For project customers, we can also support custom dimensions, LED selection, thermal design, optical layout, prototyping and series production. This allows the light engine to be adapted to the illuminated surface instead of forcing the project around a standard LED-strip geometry.
