The SlimFlex Nichia LED strips are only 5mm wide and make possible projects that cannot be done with other LED strips. The special dimensions team up with high performance, the SlimFlex strips being equipped with the best mid-power LEDs on the market: Nichia 757G series. Lifetime, light output and efficacy are all superlative and translate directly into strip's attributes.

Therefore, one meter of SlimFlex has a light output of over 2140 lm (equivalent to 200W) at a consumption of only 18 watts and using only 120 Nichia 757G LEDs. This performance, combined with a lifetime of more than 100,000 hours, makes SlimFlex the best choice for minimalist luminaires or narrow coves for general lighting in homes, offices or commercial spaces.

For unique lighting effects, SlimFlex is also available in the TW version (Nichia T02A LEDs with warm and cold white light) with a 180-degree illumination angle.

Warranty for SlimFlex LED Nichia LEDs is 5 years, and can be extended to up to 7 years in some cases. Maintenance costs are minimal, with the investment being quickly paid by the savings.

About the Nichia LED quality

The Japanese company Nichia, the manufacturer of the LEDs used on the Slimflex tape, is recognized for the innovation and quality of its products. Nichia has the world's largest market share (over 25%) and is the inventor of blue and white LED production technology. In recognition of this achievement, its researchers received the Nobel Prize for Physics.



The very long life of Nichia 757G LEDs (minimum 100,000 hours), high operating temperature resistance, much better light output and good light quality are just some of the attributes that recommend them for all very long-lasting projects .

We are a specialist of high performance LED light solutions. As part of the early success of LEDs we have extensive application knowledge from a wide range of sectors. Since 2010, we have developed and produced NICHIA LED strips in a state-of-the-art production facility in Germany. These strips have been used successfully in a wide range of application and developed specifically to meet customer specifications.

The difference between the quality and performance of a SlimFlex with Nichia LED strip and a cheap LED bar is evident from the first light and in time the gap grows even more.

1) The LEDs have the same luminous flux after many hours of operation

After 10,000 hours of operation, a Nichia 757 LED keeps 97% of the initial light output, the best lumen maitenance on the market.

In contrast, an inexpensive LED loses up to 60% of its initial shine in the same time.

The explanation is the difference between the quality and architecture of the materials used to produce the LED. Only those of the highest quality and the best performing package architecture can result in a lifetime of 100,000 hours, time after which the light emitted by the LEDs drops only by 20% compared to the initial value.

The light output for Nichia 757 LEDs is supported by 10,000-hour tests, according to LM-80, and lifetime (light at 80%) is calculated according to TM-21, both internationally recognized standards.

2) The Nichia 757 LEDs in a batch have the same shade of white, which they keep in time

On the SlimFlex strip all Nichia LEDs have the same shade (color temperature). In addition, all LED strips in one delivery have the same shade, which will also be maintained for a future order. This is possible due to the 3 Macadam Elipse sorting standard.

After many hours of operation, the Nichia 757 LEDs have the same shade as the acquisition, the color stability in time is the result of top quality of the materials and the way of construction.

In contrast, for the low budget band, LEDs may have more shades, or the difference in shade between two rolls may be significant. The requirement that the same shade in a future order is the same is impossible to accomplish. The reason is the lack of a post-production sorting standard (a price-increasing standard). Moreover, after just a few thousand hours, each inexpensive LED on the strip changes its hue, not in the same way.

3) The Nichia 757 LED is up to 5 times more energy efficient

Depending on the technology used, LEDs may have different light output for the same power consumption. The difference in light efficacy (lumens per watt) from one LED to another may even be 500% and has a very high influence on the production price. The Nichia 757 LEDs have the highest light output of more than 200 lumens per watt compared to an inexpensive LED that has around 50 lumens per watt.

In other words, one SlimFlex meter of 18W is as bright as three meters of the 14.4W / m strip with 5050 cheap LEDs (total consumption 43W per meter). After 10,000 hours, the SlimFlex tape will become as bright as six meters of cheap LEDs, due to the degradation of the latter's luminous flux.
